Jade 1 was the other side with the light source coming from the left. Not very pretty, but if enough people would like to see it I'll consider submitting it to my scraps. Anyway, another attempt at nebulae work. I think I've developed a system that I can stick with but not too sure at the moment. I might pursue a different method. The planet is pretty much basic and if someone mentions that it's too flat please try to suggest something. It seems all of my planets are too flat but I haven't really bothered with finding a remedy. Well take it as it is and, again, I have a really big problem with working too small so forgive me if I fail to release a wallpaper version, heh.
You're probably past needing advice on the planet texture but here goes. Alyn gives a very detailed tutorial on texture creation and "bumping" to make everything look 3d on the planets surface. If you want I can send the link
That looks awesome as usual, Acid! It would make a cool backdrop for a superhero like... oh say, Green Lantern maybe? I can envision it and to me it looks damn good.
I love the fact to see that's this is one of the greatest paintings & airbrushings. From what I see - I see great renders - especially for the colors (it balance together and it looks so smooth) almost look-like a painting. One suggestion from me - I think it would be better if you randomize the stars a little bit more so it can look better (because somehow I think it's a bit monotone). Overall great job on making this one.
